Canberra CIT Fashion students: Designing for Sports/Streetswear

Canberra City, a created place to house the mechanical drones that run our country. These drone travel from one place to another like a harmonic routine, constantly conditioned to never look beyond what they see.

One day a girl wakes from this coma with a mission set clearly in her mind..."there has to be more?” She searches Canberra like a creative nomad with the hope to find its hidden excitement and secrets.

Precedent for our label LNE

Y-3:

Y-3 is a collaboration between Sportswear company Adidas and fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto. By employing Yohji Yamamoto, Adidas has incorporated an oriental street wear design aesthetic into their classic sportswear and technology enhanced garments.

This Label has been chosen as a precedent as the design philosophy used is very similar to our label LNE. Both labels look at the blurring of sports and street wear, and a drive in creating a new segment and filling a niche in the fashion and sportswear market. Although Y-3 targets a mixed gender and older market than LNE, both labels are looking to satisfy the consumer who desires functional, innovative, fun and unique designs in clothing.
